【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverequipmentandmaterialsintendedforinstallationanduseinflammableanesthetizinglocationswhereaccumulationofstaticelectricitypresentsariskoffireorexplosionduetothepossibilityofstaticsparksbeinggeneratedinthepresenceofflammableanesthetic-airmixtures.Theseproductsprovideanelectricallyconductivepathfromotherelectricallyconductiveobjectsandpatientstoground.Theproductscoveredbythisstandardincludebondingappliances,casters,anesthesiafacemasksandanesthesiareservoirbags,breathingtubes,footwear,hoseandtubing,mattressesandpads,sheeting,andrestraintstraps.TheproductscoveredareforuseinaccordancewithArticle517oftheNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70,andChapter3oftheStandardforHealthCareFacilities,NFPA99.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintaintheacceptablelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisStandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificprovisionsofthisStandardcannotbejudgedtocomplywiththisStandard.Whereconsideredappropriate,revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revisionandimplementationofthisstandard.
