【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationcoverstheperformancerequirementsandmethodsoftesttoensurethesatisfactoryperformanceofthehighchair.1.2Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtominimizeinjuriestochildrenresultingfromnormalusageandreasonablyforeseeablemisuseorabuseofhighchairs.Note18212;Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisnotintendedtoaddressaccidentsandinjuriesresultingfromtheinteractionofolderchildrenwithchildreninthehighchairortheaccidentsresultingfromabuseandmisusebypersonsoverthreeyearsofage.1.3Forpurposesofthisconsumersafetyspecification,ahighchairisafreestandingchairthatelevatesachildtostandarddiningtableheight.Thehighchairismadeforthepurposeofholdingachild,upto3yearsofage,whocanremaininasittingpositionduetothechild'sowncoordination,andnormallyforthepurposesoffeedingoreating.Ahighchairmaybeheightadjustableandincludeareclinedpositionforinfantsnotabletoremaininasittingpositionduetothechild'sowncoordination.1.4Nohighchairproducedaftertheapprovaldateofthisconsumersafetyspecificationshall,eitherbylabelorothermeans,indicatecompliancewiththisspecificationunlessitconformstoallrequirementscontainedherein.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section9,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
