【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoverstheperformanceofmechanicaltestsonmaterialsbeingirradiatedwithchargedparticles.Thesetestsaredesignedtosimulateorprovideunderstandingof,orboth,themechanicalbehaviorofmaterialsduringexposuretoneutronirradiation.Practicesaredescribedthatgovernthetestmaterial,theparticlebeam,theexperimentaltechnique,andthedamagecalculations.ReferenceshouldbemadetootherASTMstandards,especiallyPracticeE521.Proceduresaredescribedthatareapplicabletocreepandcreeprupturetestsmadeintensionandtorsiontestmodes.1.2Thewordsimulationisusedhereinabroadsensetoimplyanapproximationoftherelevantneutronirradiationenvironment.Thedegreeofconformitycanrangefrompoortonearlyexact.Theintentistoproduceacorrespondencebetweenoneormoreaspectsoftheneutronandchargedparticleirradiationssuchthatfundamentalrelationshipsareestablishedbetweenirradiationormaterialparametersandthematerialresponse.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
